Contribution criteria

The Design System Working Group will work with contributors to make sure that all contributions meet our contribution criteria.

Criteria	Description
Useful	The contribution would be useful for many teams or services.
Unique	There isn’t already something similar in the Design System.
Adds value	The contribution adds value from an accessibility, usability or standards perspective. It doesn't break the coherence of any other components.
Usable	It meets a high standard of usability.
Accessible	Compliant with the Corporate Accessibility Standards and WCAG 2.2 AA .
Consistent	It uses existing style and components in the Design System where relevant. Written content in examples follow the content style guide .

Any contributions marked with deprecation will be communicated early and in discussion with the community.
